TCOLE Credit Information
Pinnacle Forensics offers hands-on crime scene training that may qualify for TCOLE continuing education credit. Following each course, we provide certificates of completion and supporting documentation to help agencies report eligible training.

After the course, Pinnacle Forensics provides agencies with a single, organized PDF packet to support agency training records, internal review, and TCOLE credit reporting.

Reporting note: Pinnacle Forensics provides supporting course documentation but does not report training hours directly to TCOLE. When the host agency is a TCOLE contractual training provider and agrees to report the course, we provide the complete PDF packet to the host agency. Otherwise, each participating agency receives the packet to support reporting eligible training for its own personnel.
The reporting agency is responsible for maintaining any additional required records, including course/instructor evaluations and the approved TCLEDDS roster.
How TCOLE credit reporting works
After the course is completed, the reporting process generally follows three steps
1. Attend the course
Students complete the course and receive a certificate of completion.
2. Receive supporting documentation
Pinnacle Forensics provides the PDF packet to the reporting host or, if the host does not report the course, to each participating agency.
3. Report the training
A contractual host handling reporting submits the eligible attendees through TCLEDDS. Otherwise, each participating agency reports eligible training for its own personnel.
Agencies may also review current information directly through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.

Can Pinnacle Forensics courses count for TCOLE credit?
Yes. Pinnacle Forensics courses may qualify for TCOLE continuing education credit when reported under an appropriate course reporting number. The reporting agency or contractual training provider is responsible for verifying eligibility and submitting the completed training.
Does Pinnacle Forensics report the hours directly to TCOLE?
No. Pinnacle Forensics provides supporting course documentation but does not report training hours directly to TCOLE. A contractual host agency that handles course reporting submits the eligible attendees. Otherwise, each participating agency reports eligible training for its own personnel.
Does Pinnacle Forensics provide course/instructor evaluation forms?
No. Pinnacle Forensics provides the supporting course documentation listed above. The agency responsible for reporting the training must obtain and retain any required course/instructor evaluations and the official approved roster from TCLEDDS.
Who receives the documentation?
Each student receives a certificate of completion. When the host agency is a TCOLE contractual training provider and handles course reporting, it receives the complete PDF documentation packet. Otherwise, Pinnacle Forensics provides the packet to each participating agency to support reporting for its own personnel.
Can agencies request documentation details before registering?
Yes. Pinnacle Forensics can provide course information and explain what supporting documentation is available before an agency registers personnel or agrees to host a course.
